FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS:

the Wyndham Hotel in Costa Mesa is an excellent venue! if you remember the bridal group shot with the flare, it looks like i used flash, however i did not. This is an ideal location because you get excellent backlight and huge amounts of natural kick/fill light.

Where is this fill light coming from?

example1

This is the building directly in front! Mirros ftw, again!

So! great backlight + great fill from that building =

Hello hello everyone! … just came back from the Art-a-Fair fest. in Laguna Beach. I was there to show love/support for Julie’s parents. (their art is amazing btw) Well anyway, they didnt allow any photography…so i snuck a few crappy ones here and there…(now the goood part)…. well i was walking around with my friend Brian eating free food, making small talk with artists…and suddenly! WOOOOBAAM! Kina Grannis! so of course im gonna risk getting kicked out for a picture. I have seriously, serioulsy never have been that starstruck…if you dont know who she is…well thats a disgrace. She has a BOMBBB voice. Also writes her own stuff (which i respect a whoooole lot).

anyway, check out her music @ www.kinagrannis.com amazing amazing talent.

Had the privilege to photograph Mark and Lolani. These two were really cool to work with and they were so natural and chill. Our first stop was at the Santa Ana Train Station. At first i thought this was an odd choice, but wow! a lot of cool places to shoot! The Ceremony and reception was held at the Hacienda in Santa Ana. Awesome, mexican themed place. Every corner you turn there is something interesting to look at. Anyway, enjoy. =)
