Diana and ray; sweet, caring, God-fearing.

We did this shoot several weeks ago and it was fun hanging out with them and getting to know them better. We would say “hello” here and there at church but this was the first time we actually spent time. They are wonderful people and you can tell they love each other so much!

Loved doing this shoot with Jane and David. They are full of energy and really cute together. (Evident of the featured image above)

Our first stop was the Norton Simon museum. The minute we started our shoot, I was back pedaling to get a shot but got tripped up and fell on my butt. David laughed hysterically while Jane was really caring. Thanks David for making me feel like a chump

Next we hit the streets of Old Town Pasadena and got some hilarious shots. I think these pictures really capture the personalities of Jane and David. They are really goofy with a big dose of sweetness.

Didn’t know a drum set and saxophone could sound so good together. It even made Jane and David dance uncontrollably!

Couple weeks ago, Kathi and Rodney invited me to their house for an engagement shoot. Literally, the best house I’ve been to. Motorcycles, bike parts, typewriters, yoga studio, barn. The list can go on for 3 more lines! On top of that, they have the world’s largest shovel. Guinness Book of Records will be coming by to verify that.

I fell in love with their two dogs. Oliver (lab) and Redford (spaniel) kept following us during the shoot and worked their inner model. I have to say, they are just as photogenic as their owners.

Hello all.

My legs are on fire from fatigue and soreness. Yesterday evening I completed the Fullerton Loop in 59 minutes. The loop is 12.5 miles of trails with plenty of steep climbs and downhills. On one of the downhills, I almost ran into a jogger. I was turning a corner and there she was. I had to slam on the brakes, do a sharp maneuver around her, hit a rock and fell off. The fall wasn’t too bad. Just a couple scrapes on my arms. What really hurt was the embarrassment. :]

Anywho, I am excited to share this post from Andy and Sharon’s wedding. This wedding was fun for me because they did their first look at my office and portraits in downtown Fullerton. Loved how they turned out! Also, they looked gorgeous in their traditional Korean outfits. It was so hard choosing which pictures to upload because we got so many good shots. This past week I splurged some cash on a brand new mountain bike. 2012 TREK MAMBA. It’s from the Gary Fisher collection and this thing handles the trails like a beast! I have been riding it everyday this week and now my butt and thighs are extremely sore.

Couple weeks back I photographed an elegant wedding in Menifee.

Beautiful, loving and meant for each other.

Bot h reception and ceremony was at the Menifee Lakes Country Club.
They decided to keep things traditional by saving their first look for the ceremony. As Ellie was walking down the aisle, Greg’s face lit up with pure joy, as it was the first time seeing her in the dress. Throughout the whole ceremony, Greg looked at Ellie with such gentleness and you can see from a mile away that he really cares for her.

Hello yellow! Greeting to all who are reading this. Hope your week has been good and productive. The past month I have been riding my bike to my office everyday. It’s about 6 miles one way so I get a good work out. For those bike nerds out there, I just got a Trek 7.3FX. If you want to ride (road or mountain) let me know and we’ll go together!

Wedding season is almost in full bloom. Mentally getting ready and finding inspiration from everywhere I can. More and more I realize how important it is to be freshly inspired each and every shoot. I draw my inspiration from other photographers, graphic designers and illustrators. If you have any cool links, please share!

TGIF! This week was pretty jammed packed with editing and album designs. My eyeballs are hating me right now; staring at a computer screen for 8+ hours a day can have that kind of impact. No complaints though! Loving life and loving what I do. So blessed to make a living being creative and doing what I truly enjoy.

I am discovering my purpose in this wedding photography business. That is to capture what committed people in love look like. In an age where divorce rate is more than 50%, I think it’s important to remember the power of vows and keep the promises we make. I want my pictures to remind the couples I work with that they are in love and the bond between them is stronger than any problem they face.

On that note, Ellie and Greg are definitely in love and very much committed to each other. It was so easy for me to capture their happiness. Love the way they show each other affection!

Woop woop! Just bought tickets to Gungor concert.  My favorite song from them is called Beautiful Things. You can check it out here. It’s been stuck in my head for days!

Several weeks back I did a shoot for a great couple. I met them at their house in Laguna Niguel and they drove me to this spot. Alicia and Aaron found this spot while taking a jog and thought “this would be a nice place to take pictures.”  What a great find! Love the yellow flower fields and the train tracks.

It was great working with you guys and I can’t wait to shoot your wedding this year at the Hacienda in Santa Ana.

Hope everyone had a romantic Valentine’s day. Mine was amazing. April surprised me with homemade heart-shaped cookies and Ray Ban aviators! I felt so lame because I only got her a card and chocolates. I gotta step it up!

Anyway, did a shoot couple weeks back with Sharon and Andy.Few words to describe them;  Artistic, cute, lovable, funny.

Loved how this shoot flowed so well. Nothing was forced; From outfit to props, it was all a part of their personality. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding in March!

Joanne and Sam are now Mr. and Mrs. Chang. Their ceremony at the Community Presbyterian Church was beautiful but their reception stole the show. Loved how they decorated the ballroom with flowers, crystals and with some incredible accent lights. It added so much color to the room and it made for some beautiful photos. Highly recommended for anyone planning a reception.

We were short on time with the portraits but Joanne and Sam kept their cool and we got some good images.

Big thanks to the staff at Los Coyotes Country Club. Like always, exceptional service.
