Pastor Billy is finally married. Praise the Lord! Their wedding was really fun the reception site looked awesome. I especially liked the best man speech from Mike Kim (who recently got married himself)

I was with Billy and Susie the whole day and they looked really happy. A lot of couples tend to stress out a bit but these two were as cool as cucumbers. (eating a Subway sub right now with extra cucumbers; delicious!)

Billy and Susie’s shoot was one of the most memorable. He hasn’t officially proposed to her so he came up with a plan to surprise her during our engagement session.

Billy made her a slideshow and distracted her by having her watch it on his IPAD. While she was watching, he had flowers and more importantly, a ring prepared and waited for the slideshow to finish.

Loved her reaction! Susie is a girl who smiles all day long but by far it was her biggest smile yet!

Can’t wait to shoot your wedding in couple weeks! Congrats again!

Happy New Years! Firs post of the new year will start with a bang!
My good friends Mike and Steph got married back in November of 2011.

Like I mentioned on their first post, Mike and I go way back when Power Rangers and WWF was cool.  I’m really happy for my friend that he met someone as awesome as Steph. Can’t wait for you guys to have kids. They are gonna be baby models!

Just want to thank all of you who made my 2011 special. I am still amazed how fast the year flew by. I did 59 shoots in 2011 (that’s 28 more shoots more than 2010 for those counting at home)  I feel fortunate to be able to call my clients friends and to have met wonderful people. Looking forward to new experiences and the upcoming shoots I have scheduled for this year. God bless!

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. Mine was really relaxing but now I am broke and fat.

Not a good combination. So glad the new year is coming up. My resolution is to work out and not eat as if my stomach has a black hole.

Also, check out this video. It was on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Parents giving their children gag gifts. Watched this video about 15 times now.

Couple weeks back I went to San Diego to photograph a happy couple; Xuan and Sean. I’m grateful I got to meet such wonderful and genuinely nice people.

Sean proposed to Xuan on the Star of India ship at the Maritime Museum.
So it was fitting we went there for the shoot.

It was really fun hanging out with Joanne and Sam. These two are hilarious and cracked me up all day!

Looking forward to shooting your wedding in January. Woop woop!

So much to be thankful for but mostly for my family and friends who are always there for me.

Several weeks back, I got to photograph Christina and Josh’s big day. I love how they love each other! Starting from their engagement session, I liked how much affection Josh shows Christina. It was a day full of fun moments and touching moments; especially when Christina shared a special dance with her mother.

Happy 2-day-after halloween everybody! Let me share with you my favorite costume of the night.

Stood up prom date with sushi! So creative.

I didn’t have much time to prepare my costume. So many ideas, so little time. At first I wanted to be a zombie Abe Lincoln but couldn’t get all the pieces in time. I had to settle for this …

It may look like I’m holding Wilson but in fact his name is Voit.

Anyway, did a semi-trash-the-dress session with Caroline and Frank. They have been married for couple months now and Caroline wanted to do one more shoot with her dress before she mummifies it. Their wedding was so much fun and full of DIY projects so I was thrilled to work with them again. From the first shoot (engagement session) to this one, they have been creative and made it so easy for me.

Mike and Steph. Funny. Sweet. Energetic. Perfect.

God couldn’t have matched a more perfect couple than these two. Still can’t believe you guys will be married in less than a month!

When we were little kids I remember when Mike used to practice wrestling moves on me. Suplex, body-slams, sharp-shooters. I was tempted to Photoshop some pimples on his face

Well, congrats again. It was so much fun and easy shooting your engagement session. Big thanks to Laura and Christina for helping out. Steph, you really do have the best bridesmaids!

BEST. FIRST DANCE. EVER.

Michael Jackson would be proud of the way Cynthia and David danced their first dance to his music. I think it was a wonderful surprise to everyone there and it set the mood for the night.

That first dance is a great example of who they are. Fun loving, quirky and absolutely stylish! Check out their engagement photos and you will know exactly what I’m talking about. I am really glad I got to meet such wonderful people and have been a part of their big day.

The ceremony and reception was held at my favorite venue, Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton CA. Colette’s did an excellent job and as always, service was top notch!
